Minimize Outlook, Internet Explorer, Firefox and any other applications to the system tray!
4t Tray Minimizer lets you running applications minimized as System Tray icons, which helps free up space on your taskbar. Main features:
* various ways to minimize any application to the system tray;
* ability to hide any application without showing tray icon;
* the customized hotkeys for minimizing, restoring, maximizing and launching applications;
* ability to customize the minimizing behavior of your favorite application;
* quick hiding/showing the whole system tray.

I have tested this, the free version works great, some features are disabled, these work in the pro version only, but they are needless features, the free version is best for most people

PowerMenu is a small application I wrote back in 1998 that some extra menu items to the windows control menu in addition to the standard "Close", "Maximize", etc options. The extra menus are: Always On Top, Transparency and Minimize To Tray.

At the moment, this is untested with Windows Vista or Windows Seven, Testers would be very welcome to give feedback

The Wonderful Icon is a small Windows utility that resides in your PC's taskbar tray. Try it and you'll be hooked!
TWI has lots of wonderful features. With it, you can:
* Assign hotkeys for common tasks such as minimize windows, restart Windows, etc.
* Minimize programs onto the taskbar tray instead of just onto the taskbar, either by a keystroke or by right-clicking a window's Minimize button with your mouse
* Configure a menu of easily-accessible commands
* Increase or decrease speaker volume with the press of a button
* Automatically run programs at start-up, and hide them, minimize them to the taskbar tray, etc.
* Lots more!
* Oh yeah, and it's free!

I use this, its great, it has alot of extra options like hide window, fast reboot, as well as minimising

At the moment, this is untested with Windows Vista or Windows Seven, awaiting a newer version

TrayIt! allows to save precious Taskbar space for minimized windows. For each application which applies TrayIt! it creates a small icon in the System Tray. (System Tray area is located near the Clock). When application's window is minimized this icon represents the application on the Taskbar instead of the regular "minimized rectangle".
It is particularly useful for background tasks you typically keep running on your PC all day long like your favorite E-mail client, Real Player, etc..
TrayIt! runs on Windows 95/98/Me, NT/2000/XP and does not require any installation.
Simply create a new folder and place TrayIt!.exe and TrayIt!.dll there. When started, TrayIt! will show a dialog box with a short explanation how to use it. You may choose to load TrayIt! on system startup by selecting "Option" and checking "Load TrayIt! on StartUp" box.
You can temporarily put any window in the system tray by keeping down the button when minimizing the window.
To always keep window in the system tray when minimized, click with the RIGHT mouse button on the corresponding icon created in the tray in the previous step and check "Place in System Tray" in the popup menu.
Clicking with the right mouse button on the minimize icon will bring TrayIt! context menu for this window. Just check "Place in System Tray" in the popup menu to make window always go to the tray.
Please note that context menu will work only for the standard minimize icon and will not pop-up if the program use skins like MS Media player.

I tested this, its great, many of its features are only found in pro aplications you have to buy, this one is free
